Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a wonderful independent school on the Essex and London border who are seeking a part-time Teacher of History to join their team from January 2021. The successful teacher will be expected to plan and deliver inspiring and engaging History lessons to KS3 and KS4 students for the Spring term at least. The position is to cover long term sickness and could be extended for the right teacher.

The school is part of a highly successful and supportive group of independent schools and can consider applications for NQT's and those with experience. The successful History Teacher will have the pleasure of educating smaller class sizes (15 students at KS3 and just 5 at KS4), meaning you are able to tailor learning effectively and impact progress.

They are looking for staff of the highest calibre who have an excellent understanding of their subject and can motivate, challenge, and inspire students. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic school and work alongside a hard-working and supportive team of staff. This position would suit a passionate, dedicated, and motivational History teacher eager to achieve and make a lasting difference.

The successful History Teacher will be:
Able to confidently teach pupils up to GCSE level at least and ideally have a history of successful exam results.
A committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.
A collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of their lessons through creative approaches to the Humanities curriculum.

To be successful in this History Teaching role you will:
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable and professional reference checks.
Provide a CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
