Tradewind are currently recruiting for an excellent History teacher to cover a planed period of absence due to an operation. This is expected to last between 6-8 weeks, and is expected to start after February half term (24th of February). This is a full time position, and all planning and marking associated with a teaching position will be expected for this position. For that reason, the successful candidate will be paid to scale for the position. In real terms, this means that the successful candidate will earn between £110.00 and £184.00 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. You will be working with an extremely well organised and coordinated department, and their will be a wealth of resources at your disposal, meaning planning requirements will be minimal. Due to the cohesive and experienced teaching staff in the department, we would welcome applications from NQTs for this position. You will be working mainly with Key Stage 3 History classes, but there will be Key Stage 4 teaching on the timetable, working with AQA History exam classes. Having experience teaching Key Stage 4 History is essential for this position, especially as this is a pivotal time of the year for Year 11 students.


The School in question is a large Academy with good transport links and a strong sense of community spirit. Being on a major and regular bus route from the city centre it is easily accessible via public transport. Having a large onsite car park there is ample space to park your car. The school day starts at 8:45AM and finishes at 3:00PM.
