Tradewind are working with a special needs school in South Liverpool. They are recruiting for a full time HLTA to work 5 days per week in term time, starting from September 2020.

This school has children from Early Years right though to Key Stage 5. All children have a primary Autism diagnosis along with other additional needs including global delay, attachment disorders and speech and language difficulties. The post will currently take you up until April 2021 but has the capacity to be extended. This school regularly reviews offering Tradewind supply staff fixed term contracts.

You will be working closely with your key stage 2 class teacher in terms of planning and assessment. You will be required to deliver lessons with the support of two experienced class teaching assistants who know the children well and will provide guidance.

You may also be required to work with small groups of children in targeted interventions for Maths and English so previous experience of this would be beneficial for this role.

We Require:
A HLTA qualification or another relevant level 4 Education qualification. This role would also be suitable for NQT's and qualified teachers
Previous experience with Key Stage 1 or 2
Previous experience working with Autism
Team Teach is desirable but not essential (Tradewind will provide training this year)
Previous experience with phonics
DBS on the update service
Two contactable professional referees
Right to work in the UK
