Are you a passionate and versatile Humanities Teacher seeking a new role from January?

A popular secondary school located in the district of Maldon are currently seeking a full-time Humanities Teacher to join their team of staff next term. With experienced staff within the department, the school can consider specialists in History, Geography or RE. The school is easily accessible by car and public transport with on-site parking available for staff and visitors. The role will be for the remainder of the academic year at least, with the school potentially being able to offer either a permanent/fixed term contract following a successful assignment.

The school is well-run and well-organised by an inspirational Headteacher, with students' achievement and well-being at the heart of what the school stands for. The team of teaching and support staff are hard-working and supportive with high standards and expectations. Students behave well in lessons and around the school, with less able pupils being well supported and achieving well. The successful Humanities teacher will be:
Able to confidently teach pupils up to GCSE (in at least one of History, Geography and RE) and have a good track record of student progress.
A committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.
A collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of their lessons through creative approaches to the curriculum.

To be successful in this Humanities teaching role you will:
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
Ideally hold an MA or degree in either Geography, History or RE related subject.
Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable and professional reference checks.
Provide a CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
