The school is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to aid pupils in KS2 who require small group support and 121 support with Reading and Writing. To be considered for this position you must have a proven track record of supporting pupils who require academic interventions; have strong language and literacy skills; be able to engage pupils and differentiate work according to academic levels and a clear understanding of phonics.
To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
* Have experience giving academic interventions
* Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained
* Have the legal right to work in the UK
This role will include:
-Teaching pupils with developmental difficulties in reading and writing
-Taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care
-Supporting the school team to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn

This has progress above the national average but students who are struggling are quickly identified and processes put in place to aid in their catch-up. Reading and phonics teaching is particularly good, and Teaching Assistants have excellent subject knowledge. The curriculum is broad and engaging and the nurture unit is extremely effective at aiding pupils that need extra support. About the role:
-Part-time initially, potentially up to full time
