Are you a reliable and dedicated teacher keen to support the transition of Lower Key Stage 3 pupils?
Would you like to work with individuals or small groups of students in order to get them back on track?

Tradewind Recruitment have been asked by an oversubscribed 11 to 18 secondary school to assist them in finding a qualified teacher to join their hard-working team of staff. The successful applicant will be expected to teach Lower KS3 students to help support the progress of those who may have been affected by the pandemic. The post is for the full academic year initially and will be either a fixed term contract or ongoing supply arrangement. Applicants seeking either full or part time (minimum 0.6) can be considered.

This Ofsted rated 'Good' school has consistently performed well over the years. Pupils behaviour is described as exemplary and leadership has maintained a great quality of education. As a result, there is a harmonious learning environment throughout the school. Staff, students and parents are bought into the school ethos and high expectations and there is the correct understanding of the school's strengths and areas of improvement.

As the successful teacher will be working with Lower KS3 pupils, this exciting position would suit either a primary or secondary teacher. If you come from a primary background, experience working in Upper KS2, preferably Year 6, would be desirable. You will be focusing on the core subject areas of Maths, English and Science. Although you do not need to be a specialist in all three subjects, sound knowledge of at least two would be an advantage.

The successful Intervention Teacher will be:
Familiar and confident with the planning and delivery of lessons in line with the National Curriculums.
A committed and reliable teacher dedicated to the role, school ethos and community.
Consistently motivated to deliver engaging and stimulating lessons.
An excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills.
A positive and personable role model for their class and colleagues.

The school has ample parking available for staff and is also easily accessible on public transport, with current staff commuting from most of Essex and East London.
