A primary school in the Camden area are seeking an experienced group intervention and PPA teacher to start in September. The role is on a full-time basis and would involve teaching streamed Year 3 and 4 Intervention groups in the mornings, focussing on Maths and English. The afternoons would involve covering PPA across different year groups. Competitive salary available, MPS 1-3 Inner London - £29,664-£32,837.

The core duties of this Key Stage 2 Intervention teacher role are:
*Teaching streamed Year 3 and 4 groups Numeracy and Literacy lessons every morning
*Delivering a range of group Numeracy and Literacy intervention sessions to small groups of pupils
*Planning and delivering lessons in line with pupils' abilities, and liaising with class teachers in order to correctly pitch group sessions which extend student learning, as well as feeding back pupil progress
*Teach a range of year groups every afternoon to cover for PPA being flexible in their approach, and consistent with classroom and behaviour management

*A team player with strong interpersonal skills and a sense of fun
It is essential that you demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of teaching, learning and behaviour strategies, and have a thorough understanding of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum, with excellent subject knowledge in Numeracy and Literacy. Experience delivering Intervention group sessions is desirable, and ideally, you will have at least 2 years' experience teaching in Key Stage 2. SATs booster or intervention experience is also highly desirable.
Location: The school is based near to Gospel Oak and Belsize Park stations, and is very accessible via national Northern line and Overground services, and is also short journey from Kentish Town and Hampstead Heath.
