Key Stage 2 intervention teacher

Tradewind are working with a Junior school in the Sheffield area looking to employ an intervention teacher.

This role will involve working with small groups of children, no more than 6 at a time rather than full class teaching. You will be working with those children who are tracking behind target, some of those children may have additional special educational needs such as ASD so prior experience working with these children would be beneficial.

The school is a 2 form entry school and you will be working closely with the Year 6 teachers in terms of planning and assessment in preparation for SAT's exams. You will also be involved in tracking and monitoring progress of other Year groups in KS2 to pick up on any issues and implement early interventions.

You will also be working closely with the SENCO and will have some responsibility for managing other staff in particular Teaching Assistants.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher to take on additional responsibilities including the management of other staff members. Previous experience successfully taking a Year 6 class through their SAT's exams would be highly desirable for this position.

Pay £140.00 - £180.00 per day dependant of experience.

To join us and be successful in this Key Stage 2 intervention teacher you will need to:
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable and professional reference checks.
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history, where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
