Tradewind are working with a school in the S42 post code area of Chesterfield seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to work with a group of underachieving pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
The position is part time 4 days a week Monday - Thursday and would suit an experienced teaching assistant or qualified teacher with experience in these year groups. Applications from NQT's are also welcome.
The successful candidate will be working with small groups of up to 8 children at a time, some with additional and complex needs such as Autism and Speech and Language difficulties. You should also have a good level of Maths and English and be confident in supporting these subjects from Year 1 to Year 6 including phonics.
The school is a medium sized primary with two form entry and is well equipped with resources to engage young learners including an IT suite and access to I pads. Outdoor learning is also encourages and the school has a large playing fields to utilise for outdoor learning in fine weather. The school is a medium sized primary with two form entry
Planning for sessions will be done in collaboration with Teaching staff and there will be an expectation that basic marking be undertaken by the successful candidate, guidance will be provided by the school.
The school has secure private parking for staff and is accessible easily from the M1 motorway as well as on public transport.

-Level 3 qualification desirable but not essential.
