About the job

Tradewind is working in conjunction with an Oldham Primary School that is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience of delivering interventions in EYFS and/or KS1. The position is to support children within Key Stage 1, working with groups and individuals to assist in their academic, social and emotional development.

The children require targeted input to help raise attainment in core areas including Reading, Phonics and Maths. The position is to start in September and is to initially cover the summer and autumn term. The position will then be reviewed and is potentially ongoing. It would be advantageous if you have experience of delivering interventions such as Numbers Count, and have planned and delivered Phonics sessions using known programmes of study such as Jolly Phonics or Letters and Sounds.

The school has high expectations for the children, and staff work hard to ensure that every child receives the provision they need to reach their potential. About the school and contract: A school with excellent standards Ofsted rating of 'Good' Supportive and settled staff team Initially to end of the academic year, with the potential to be to go onto a school contract.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be:

Experienced within EYFS and/or Key Stage 1

Confident delivering interventions based around Maths, Writing, Reading and Phonics

Approachable, calm and a good team player

Available long-term

Hold a level 3 qualification in Education

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
