Tradewind Recruitment is working with a school in the London borough of Barnet, which is seeking a key stage 1 teacher to undertake a full-time role from September, for the 2020/21 academic year. Salary will be in line with the MPS, outer London (presently £28355 - £40035), depending on experience.



The School:

The school has recently gone through many changes and has a new Headteacher who is determined to get the school back on track and many new ideas have already been implemented.

The school is two-form entry and has a good record of working with teaching students and also of assisting NQTS with induction year and they have the capacity in September to provide a mentor. This will be an exciting time to be at the school and to part of change!



The school is a mixed, multicultural, community environment and they have a good team on board, all determined to help the school improve.



The Role:

The actual year group is to be decided, depending on the school needs at the time and there may be some flexibility, but it will be in key stage 1. Children make good progress at the school in key stage 1 and are at levels in line with the national average at the end of this key stage.



For this Key Stage 1 Teacher role, the school is seeking candidates who:



Demonstrate excellent national curriculum knowledge.
Are able to motivate and inspire students to learn.
Are highly motivated and willing to use their initiative.
Demonstrate a variety of teaching and learning strategies that they use effectively.
Are able to work as a team
Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Are willing to contribute to the broader life of the school.
Are potentially interested in taking on responsibility for a curriculum area.


The core duties of this key stage 2 teacher role:



The duties and expectations of the role will be those usually associated with a class teacher role, including planning, parent consultations, report writing and assessment etc. You will take full responsibility for the class and the organisation of a classroom assistant.



To join us and be successful in this Key Stage 2 teacher role you will need to:

Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
You must have the legal right to work in the UK

The school is located in the borough of Barnet and is easily accessible via public transport, with parking available.
