Key Stage 2 Teacher

Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Are you a teacher who believes in learning without limits? Do you want the opportunity to be part of a unique team to set-up a brand new academy from scratch? Are you passionate that all children deserve the very best learning opportunities? If so, we would love to hear from you!

About the school

The academy in question is a new primary school in Aylesbury, which has been open for just over a year. They are currently equivalent to a one form entry with the capacity to turn into 3 form entry. The school will grow year-on-year, taking children aged 2-11.

The academy is now looking to appoint additional staff to meet the needs of the children within the academy in its brand-new building. You will be part of the team which has the unique opportunity to build and grow the school from its infancy. There is no doubt about it, setting up the academy from scratch will take vision, dedication and hard-work, but being part of that exciting and rare journey will be very rewarding to see the academy take shape over the next few years.

What they can offer

For the right candidate, they are offering a TLR 2 to take a greater role within the wider leadership of the academy by leading a core subject. They are keen to develop staff such as through the National Professional Qualification programme and in-school coaching and mentoring, and would really like to hear from you if you are keen to take your next step in leadership and make your mark!

All teachers will receive 10% Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time each week, in addition to release time for NQTs or Subject Leadership. For more experienced teachers, or those looking to fast-track perhaps in their second or third year of teaching, they have a range of different leadership opportunities available where you could lead on various subjects or areas of the school.

The school pride themselves on the high expectations they place on the academic achievements and behaviour of all children, whatever their need, as well as a broad, diverse and engaging creative curriculum which underpins all that they do. The school is an inclusive setting, valuing all children's achievements, ensuring that each child is given every opportunity to meet their full potential. There is no doubt that this is an exciting place to be - for children, staff, parents and the local community!
