Tradewind Recruitment is working with a school in Barnet borough, North London, which is recruiting for a key stage 2 teacher for September, for the academic year.

Salary will be in line with the outer London MPS, £28355 - £40035, pro-rata, depending on experience.

The School:

This school has undergone a great deal of change recently, where the school has not reached the standards it has in the past but they now have a new Headteacher in place and there are now signs of serious improvement. This will be an exciting time to be a part of the change taking place at the school.

Parking is available and the school is well-positioned for staff who use public transport.

The Class

The actual year group is undecided at this early stage as it depends up the needs of the school closer to the start date, but there is of course flexibility and the school will always try to accommodate preferences, where possible. The school is two-form entry and you will be working closely with the parallel year group teacher. Behaviour at the school is good and the pupils are proud of their schools. Pupils respond well to organised teachers who deliver pacey, interesting lessons. The children are quite able and like to be presented with suitably challenging activities. There is lots of support from home, and parents/carers want their children to do well.

You! :

The school is seeking a teacher with experience of teaching in key stage 2 and who has a friendly, forward-thinking approach with a positive team spirit. You should be organised, with a good sense of humour and able to deliver fun, challenging lessons when possible, to catch the children's interest. The school welcomes applications from newly qualified teachers (NQT) as they have the capacity in September to assist with induction year. Applicants from experienced teachers are of course welcomed.

This will be an exciting time to be at the school and to bring the school back to the levels which it has enjoyed for so many years.
