Key Stage 2 Teacher

Are you an experienced Key Stage 2 Teacher who is seeking a class teacher role at a 'Good' primary school in North London, and has a keen interest in STEM?

A primary school in the Tottenham area of Haringey, London are seeking a Key Stage 2 Teacher, with competitive salary available in line with experience (MPS 1-6 Inner with TLR2 available for the right candidate.

The school is a Haringey Council Community School, with children aged from 2 to 11, situated in Tottenham. Most of the school's families live locally to the school, and the school is two form entry from Reception to Year 6. It is a successful school, attaining Ofsted Good. The school also has a 'STEAM Engine' which is a dedicated classroom for Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Art & Design work. This resource is equipped with the highest technologies to enable children to experience exciting practical learning.

The responsibilities for this Key Stage 2 Teacher role will include:

• Teach a class of pupils and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs.
• Plan appropriately to meet the needs of all pupils, through differentiation of tasks.
• Work with school leaders to track the progress of individual children and intervene where pupils are not making progress
• Be able to set clear targets, based on prior attainment, for pupils' learning

The ideal candidate for this Key Stage 2 Teacher role will have:

• Experience of teaching in a multicultural inner city environment through qualified experience and/or trainee placements
• Very high expectations of pupils and to teach with this held in mind
• A passion for teaching and investing in the development of the profession
• Fantastic resilience with a real 'can do attitude'
• A willingness to go over and above 'the call of duty'
• Strong evidence of professional development
• A great sense of humour

• Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
