Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5/6)

Start Date: January 8th, 2024

Contract Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our Upper Key Stage 2 team, working with a mixed Year 5/6 class. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students who are currently behind their target levels in English and Maths. The position requires someone with a solid background in working with children in this key stage, proficiency in delivering the English and Maths curriculum, and the ability to work effectively with students who have additional learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to individual students and small groups, focusing on English and Maths interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans for students with additional learning needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children in Upper Key Stage 2.
  • Confidence in delivering the English and Maths curriculum.
  • Familiarity with supporting children with additional learning needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or related field.
