Key Stage Two - Full Time Intervention Teacher - Stockport

Tradewind is looking to recruit an experienced teacher to deliver targeted interventions to small groups of children across KS2. This is a full time role which will run for 8 weeks starting December 2020 and running until February 2021. The successful candidate will have proven success accelerating pupil progress through carefully considered interventions and will be confident adjusting and adapting teaching and learning strategies to meet the needs of individual learners. This position comes with a competitive rate of pay that meets your experience and suitability. This position is not suitable for NQTs.

This is a high achieving school and is larger than average size. This three form entry primary school caters for children between the ages of three and eleven and prides itself on its ability to produce fantastic educational outcomes within a safe, inclusive environment. What we are looking for:

The school has a large percentage of EAL pupils so the successful candidate would hugely benefit from experience with learners overcoming language barriers..

You will be expected to meet regularly with class teachers to map out specific objectives that need targeting and plan interventions around this.

You must be confident in tailoring lessons, content and activities to meet individual learners and integrate a range of resources that support visual, audio and kinaesthetic learning styles.

With regards to assessment, you will provide both verbal and written feedback to pupils with action points to address misconceptions and/or consolidate learning.

You will collaborate with class teachers and the SENDCO to report on pupil performance and evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions in relation to individual academic targets.

The successful candidate will have a secure knowledge and understanding of age related expectations in the core subjects across KS2 and monitor progress towards these expectations.

Essential Requirements:
Hold QTS Certification
Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks. Or be happy to undertake a new DBS through us
Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included
Have at least 2 years experience in a KS2 setting with proven success delivering interventions
Have the legal right to work in the UK
