Do you hold a Psychology (or similar) degree and are looking to gain long-term experience starting as soon as possible?

Perhaps you already have experience working with children in KS1 with Behavioural challenges and would now you like to apply this knowledge to a school-based setting before pursing Educational Psychology or SEND routes?

Tradewind Manchester are currently recruiting on behalf of a Primary school situated in north Salford, to work with a child in KS1 with strong behavioural challenges. This position is full-time and long-term, and the school require confident candidates with experience of supporting children with additional needs, specifically behavioural challenges, and the drive to make a difference. A Team Teach qualification is desired but not exclusionary.

The School:
This school has excellent leaderships and relationships between staff and pupils are very good. Pupils get off to a great start in the Early Years and progress is well above the national average in reading, writing and mathematics. Pupils leave Key Stage 2 very well prepared for secondary school. The school offers significant training opportunities for staff to upskill themselves, resulting in engaging and challenging classes for pupils. Teachers and Teaching Assistants work seamlessly together, aiming for a common goal. SEND support is tailored carefully, and support staff are very well-regarded.

To join us and be successful in this Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
* Psychology Degree (or Social Sciences) / SEND Teaching Assistant experience E.g. Experience working/volunteering in youth support or care settings
* A Team Teach qualification is preferred
* Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks. Or be happy to undertake a new DBS through us
* Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
* Have the legal right to work in the UK
