Are you a primary teacher who is excited by innovation and challenge, and is interested in a KS1 Intervention Teacher role?
Tradewind Recruiment are currently working with a forward-thinking and innovative primary school in Bury. The Headteacher is seeking a KS1 Intervention Teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning to undertake a full-time role starting September 2020.
This initially will be on a daily rate between £130 - £150 depending on experience.
This is a small primary school which is situated just outside the town centre of Bury. The percentage of pupils eligible for free school meals is well below average. Pupils are predominantly from White British backgrounds. The school has a below average number of pupils with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The school has achieved several awards including Investors in People, the Healthy Schools, Activemark and Artsmark (Gold) awards. It provides Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) education for children in Reception classes.
All the staff at this school are exceptionally caring, experienced and work hard to ensure that each child reaches his/her full potential. The children at this Bury primary school thrive on the positive atmosphere and creativity and take full advantage of the many opportunities made available to them.
The Headteacher believes that happy children work to fulfil their potential and she places high emphasis on achieving this through close links between home and school and fostering a caring and secure environment in which all children can prosper.
The school are seeking a committed, positive and ambitious Intervention Teacher who is:
*Innovative, creative and consistently maintain high standards of teaching.
*Able to lead, motivate, and inspire pupils.
*Able to demonstrate an ability to teach and model the highest possible standards of learning and teaching.
*Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching.
The core duties of this KS1 Intervention Teacher role are:
*To provide a high quality educational experience for all children by leading learning in School, developing consistent practice in teaching and learning and ensuring that children achieve the highest standards of attainment and achievement.
*To teach differentiated lessons to small groups of identified children with a range of additional needs, regularly liaising with class teachers to provide feedback and aid progress
*The teacher will contribute to the schools strategic planning documentation (SIP), supporting the ethos, aims and vision of the school
To join us and be successful in this KS1 Intervention Teacher role you will need to:
*Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
*You must have the legal right to work in the UK Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged.
