Calling all Key Stage 1 (specifically year 1 and year 2) Teaching Assistants seeking work in the Nottingham area for September 2020. This role is full time and on a temp to perm basis via Tradewind and offers great stability during these times.


The role is working 121 with a year 1 and Year 2 pupil and in small groups with pupils with particularly challenging behaviour and SEMH difficulties. The TA will follow a bespoke timetable and will build positive relationships with the pupil to promote interaction and a constructive learning environment as well as assist the class teacher and other education staff with learning activities.

The successful candidate will be confident working with the primary curriculum and will have experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour. They will have a thorough knowledge of SEND and a holistic/therapeutic approach to education.

There are many progression pathways at this school and the SLT want to invest in all the staff's long term future and professional growth.

The school is based in Nottingham City will excellent transport links to the rest of the city and county. The school offers a therapeutic, calming and innovative environment for the primary (KS1) to attend.

The ideal candidate will be:

* Level 3 qualified
* Experienced supporting school pupils or young people
* Knowledgeable about supporting vulnerable pupils with SEBD and SEMH
* Available from Aug/Sept with a DBS on the update service
* Able to commit long term to the school and pupils for continuity
* Team Teach/MAPA trained
* Counselling/Psychology background a bonus
