On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are looking to recruit an experienced intervention teacher to work part-time (three days a week) delivering effective interventions across KS2. The successful candidate will have previous experience planning targeted interventions that bridge gaps in learning and provide the opportunity for children to make rapid progress.
The school is situated in rural area of Tameside and is highly reputable due to strong established relationships with local families. It has accessible transport links to wider areas of Manchester and benefits from a large secure car park with spaces available for all members of staff.
The school achieved 'Good' during their most recent OFSTED inspection with the success being largely due to the strong Headteacher, supportive SLT and hard-working team of staff who are passionate about making a different in education. Effective collaboration is evident across the school with individuals leading in their own expert area whilst being open-minded to try new strategies, approaches and learn from one another in order to inspire positive change. About the role: With a focus on delivering effective daily interventions across the core subjects, you will be expected to achieve rapid pupil progress.
As the KS2 Intervention Teacher you must:
-Have a secure subject knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and understand where pupils need to be in order to make effective transitions throughout the primary phases
-Liaise with teachers across KS2 to understand how to meet the needs of individual learners
-Be able to work as part of a team allowing the development of others whilst leading in your own expert area
-Plan targeted interventions that align with content taught in the classroom aiming to bridge the gaps
- Use assessment strategies to identify and address misconceptions and provide instant feedback to consolidate learning
-Utilise creative approaches to teaching and learning that engage learners and revisit, reteach accordingly to accelerate pupil progress
-Keep records of progress and report back to class teachers with specific feedback as well as analysing data against intervention plans to assess whether targets have been met

- Know how to use local, national and statistics to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching
-Know the legal requirements, national policy and guidance on the safeguarding of children.

Essential Requirements:
QTS Certification
A minimum of 2 years working in KS2
Proven success delivering interventions with references to support your experience
You must be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks. Or be happy to undertake a new DBS through us
Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
Have the legal right to work in the UK
