Are you currently seeking opportunities for September 2021; would you be keen to transition over to SEND supporting in a Primary ARP delivering a creative and national curriculum?

SANZA Teaching agency are currently supporting a specialist provision for Autism, they follow the national curriculum and are an Ofsted Good Provision with outstanding features. They are a small school which aims to provide a family atmosphere where pupils and families feel supported; they have a holistic approach to the child's learning journey.

KS2 Primary School Class Teacher- Full Time

  • Primary SEND Class - 10 pupils / four adults
  • Delivering a creative and national curriculum
  • To carry out professional duties and to have responsibility for an assigned class
  • To be responsible for the day to day work and management of the class and safety and welfare or the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities.
  • To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education.

  • Resilient
  • Able to meet demands of a challenging high-pressured environment and deal with emergencies when required.
  • Has a belief in the potential of all children and a desire to support all children to reach their full potential.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to establish good relationships with adults.
  • Able to tackle difficult issues tactfully and sensitively for a positive resolution.

Essential requirements

  • Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience with ASD or severe learning difficulties
  • Evidence of some continued professional development, particularly in relation to SEN and
  • A good understanding of safeguarding children with special educational needs

What is an ARP?

  • Many young people with additional learning needs can make better, more sustained progress when they attend mainstream school
  • Additionally Resourced schools operate as part of the provision, providing specialist places for a small number of children and young people with higher levels of SEN
  • An ARP is a provision, within a mainstream school, designed to provide specialist and targeted support for children with long term special educational needs (SEN).
  • ARPs are additionally funded which means that a school ARP receives additional resources.
