On behalf of our client school, Tradewind is looking to appoint an outstanding KS2 teach for a long-term position at a high achieving school in Romily, Stockport. The job will start in October 2020 and will run until July 2021 with the potential to be made permanent depending on your success in the role. About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for a KS2 class (Year 4 or 5) of approximately 30 pupils. Whilst the school is high performing with many children working above age related expectations, the ability to scaffold learning to bridge gaps will be key to accelerate progress. There will be pupils on IEP's so you will be required to scaffold learning accordingly to meet the needs of these learners and evaluate their progress in relation to set targets. You will also be supported by a full-time LSA.

To successful in this KS2 position, we are looking for:

*Secure subject knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and with a strong understanding of age related expectations.

*Detailed engaging lessons that follow the National Curriculum Standards and implement opportunities to challenge children and work at mastery level

*The ability assess learning, identify and address misconceptions, react to instant feedback and bridge learning gaps through mini plenaries/re-teaching

*Lessons to include visual, audio and kinaesthetic learning styles making use of technology where appropriate
*A good team player who can collaborate effectively with others to achieve shared goals as well as lead in your own area of expertise

*Willingness to go above and beyond the school day when It comes to extra-curricular clubs and school events sharing experiences with the local community.

Essential Requirements:
-Hold QTS certification (or an equivalent).
-Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks. Or be happy to undertake a new DBS through us
-Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
-Have the legal right to work in the UK
