KS2 Teaching Assistant - ASAP Start

The Position:

A 1-form entry primary school in Trafford, Altrincham (WA15) are looking to recruit an experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to work across Year 4 and Year 5. The position is to start Monday 21st June 2021 and will continuing into the next academic year with a possible contract offered to the right candidate.

Details of the role are as follows:

  • KS2 Teaching Assistant
  • Working in Year 4 and Year 5
  • Small groups intervention for Math and English ( high achievers)
  • Offered on a temp to perm basis
  • June 2021 start
  • Pay £65.00 - £75.00 per day
  • Broad curriculum with a lot of enrichment opportunities
  • Understanding and confidence to work in an Outstanding primary school
  • Have confidence in AFL, behaviour management and differentiation

The School:

The school is 1-form entry and has recently been rated Outstanding by Ofsted. It is in Hale Trafford with an experienced headteacher, with exceptional support from senior and middle leaders, who are making rapid improvements. The headteacher delegates responsibilities effectively and staff work well as a team.

The current building was opened in 1975. The main building consists of 6 class bases, shared curriculum areas, 2 halls, a library and a computer suite. Nursery pupils are accommodated in a separate, self-contained building. There are extensive external areas providing opportunities for sport, play and extended curriculum activities.

Key Stage 2 Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6

About You:

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for education and for their own professional development. The ideal candidate will be ready to hit the ground running as part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team and will:

  • Have an excellent understanding of how children learn and wants the best for every child in their class.
  • Regularly reflected on their practice.
  • Can support, inspire and excite learning in children.
  • Have good organisation skills.
  • Be able to create a safe and engaging learning environment
  • Have an excellent knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum.

To be considered for this position you must:

  • Have recent relevant experience working in a Primary School or working with children
  • Be available on a full time basis for the full academic year
  • Already have or be happy to apply for an enhanced DBS disclosure.
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Your CV must have a 10 years employment history/education included and any employment/education breaks must be explained.
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK.

  • Have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Have primary school experience
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
