About the school
We are recruiting for a KS2 Teaching Assistant on behalf of a vibrant school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve endless possibilities. The school has a dedicated team that works hard to reach high standards in everything they do. The school dates back over 100 years and is based over two sites, Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 are based in one building and Key Stage 2 in another. The school is fortunate to have a large site including, separate playgrounds for Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2, a large field, garden area, music room and inclusion room.

The headteacher provides strong and effective leadership for this improving school. The senior leadership are supportive and all staff have clear set targets aimed at improving their practice. Teachers and Teaching Assistants are supported by a programme of professional development activities.

The school is based in Hull and is accessible via car or bus.

About the role
This OFSTED 'Good' primary school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within their KS2 department, mainly within Year 5. The successful candidate must have excellent behaviour management and a good knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum. You must be a committed practitioner who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role.

The role itself will involve supporting the class teacher in Year 5, helping with the delivery of the National Curriculum. You will be required to work with small groups or students on a 1:1 basis to deliver Maths and English intervention lessons. Ideal candidates will have strong behaviour management and a good curriculum knowledge to ensure that the children have a strong base for their SATs. The school are looking for somebody who has the ability to be innovative and engaging, ensuring that the children have fun whilst making progress.
