Are you a Primary Teaching Assistant with a keen interest in supporting additional needs? Would you like to work in a successful team of creative individuals, delivering the national curriculum?

SANZA Teaching Agency are supporting a specialist provision for Autism, they follow the national curriculum and are an Ofsted Good Provision with outstanding features. They are a small school which aims to provide a family atmosphere where pupils and families feel supported; they have a holistic approach to the child's learning journey. Usually they look for someone who is familiar with the national curriculum, academic, creative and nurturing towards the children.

The role

  • Supporting the delivery of all lessons and helping to engage pupils.
  • Working in a team of four adults and 10 children
  • Liaise with teachers and support staff to develop plans KS2 pupils Delivering 1-1 intervention
  • This role is from 8:40am to 3:45pm, Monday to Friday.
  • The ideal candidate:
  • Experience of behavioural management within small groups or 1-2-1 setting
  • Experience with Social Emotional and Mental Health
  • Great communication and motivational skills Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant
  • KS2 experience
  • Experience with ASD

Curriculum

  • Their curriculum has been developed to allow teachers to be creative and make the learning journey stimulating and exciting for our pupils leading to high quality outcomes.
  • Teacher's use plans for English, Maths, Science and Topic which follow the National Curriculum.
  • The plans are then adapted and differentiated further to meet the needs of pupils with a variety of different learning styles and abilities.
  • Huge focus on Drama, Arts and Social skills

What is an ARP?

  • Many young people with additional learning needs can make better, more sustained progress when they attend mainstream school
  • Additionally Resourced schools operate as part of Solihull's continuum of provision, providing specialist places for a small number of children and young people with higher levels of SEN
  • An ARP is a provision, within a mainstream school, designed to provide specialist and targeted support for children with long term special educational needs (SEN).
  • ARPs are additionally funded which means that a school ARP receives additional resources.
