*Located in the vibrant east London borough of Barking this well-run, high performing school is looking to appoint a Lead Practitioner of English who has the experience and passion to lead the subject to new heights.
*The school has recently been awarded a 'Good' Ofsted and is in the process of building up its departments to achieve the top grade next time around. Part of this process is to bring experienced teachers into middle management roles within the core subjects who will be on a path to senior leadership.

About the Role - Lead Practitioner English - Barking, East London

*This role is only suitable for experienced English Teachers who have strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach consistently 'Good' or better lessons.
*The desire to pass on your knowledge and skills is essential. The English department has a range of teachers at various stages of their careers. It will be the Lead Practitioners role to help support and develop these teachers alongside the Head of Department to ensure that all are performing to the top of their ability.
*This role sits between middle management and senior leadership so is a direct route into joining the schools SLT. It is a position of high responsibility and as such salary is paid on the leadership scale and is to be agreed based on experience.
