Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a Lead Practitioner of Science to work in a lovely mixed secondary school to start September 2019. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilful, experienced and motivated individual who is looking for a new professional challenge.

This particular school has great effectiveness of leadership and management, personal development, behaviour and welfare, building on its strengths and improving upon their weaknesses.

This school is based in Redbridge, East London and is easily accessible on the central line, about 10 minutes from Stratford Station. Some of the staff travel on the central line, jubilee line, DLR, TFL Rail and London Overground from all parts of London and have no issues with getting into the school easily. However, the school have an accessible car park for staff, so could be easily commutable for drivers.

The new Headteacher has made substantial differences in the quality of the pupil's experience at school and as a result achievement has massively improved. The Headteacher's purposeful leadership has energised leaders throughout the school, which has filtered to teaching staff and pupils respectively. Pupils behaviour is consistently good in lessons and around the school; they are respectful of others and contribute positively to the school's work and culture. The school have good facilities, strong CPD for staff and excellent relationships between students and staff.

Responsibilities for this Lead Practitioner of Science would include;
*Being an inspiration to others, being able to collaborate and work in a team whilst working closely with the Curriculum Leader
*Teaching KS3 and KS4 Science, harnessing your love for Science to make a different to student's lives
*Working widely in the school with the Teaching and Learning team and with other stakeholder groups
*Attending department meetings and planned school meetings
*Supporting the Raising Standards drive - for example taking intervention classes
*Producing enjoyable and stimulating schemes of work for the department
Requirements for you as a Lead Practitioner of Science include;
*Holding a QTS holder (or equivalent teaching qualification)
*Having an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance and previous professional references that are at an average of Good or above
*Having a legal right to work in the UK
