Tradewind is working in partnership with this exceptional Multi Academy Trust as they take on their newest school for the new academic year. For January 2020 they are looking to appoint a LP Science to take the Science department to new heights!

About the School - Lead Practitioner of Science - Tower Hamlets, East London
Located in Tower Hamlets, East London this well-established school is going through a period of change and improvement over the next 3 years. The school has recently joined a Multi Academy Trust and a new SLT is in place for September who have a clear blueprint to improve the school beyond recognition. In its current set up the school is rated as inadequate with lower than average attainment across the key stages. The new sponsor has been involved with the school since Easter 2019 and has implemented several changes with a strong focus on behaviour which is already having a huge impact. There is a long, but exciting journey ahead and one of the key appointments will be that of a Lead Practitioner of Science who is required from September 2020 and will oversee the development of the department as a whole!

*Lead Practitioner of Science at this school sits as part of the Senior Leadership Team and line manages Head of Maths so this is a role that carries a lot of responsibility. Science Teachers who have held strong middle leadership responsibility are encouraged to apply.
*An exceptional teacher in the first instance who is keen to support, develop and progress the department, students and staff will be required.
*The school and M.A.T will provide unrivalled support and development. This role is an opportunity to develop a department and leads direct into SLT opportunities. Salary is negotiable based on the skill set and experience the successful candidate brings.
