Position: Special Needs Support Assistant (ASD, One-to-One)

Location:Ashton-in-Makerfield

Hours: Full-Time (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)

Job Description: As a Special Needs Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing personalised one-to-one support to a child with ASD within a mainstream primary school. Your responsibilities will include fostering a positive learning environment, implementing strategies to support the child's individual needs, and collaborating with teachers and other support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a child with ASD.
  • Implement and adapt learning materials to meet the child's needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Special Needs Support Assistant, particularly with children with ASD.
  • Strong understanding of ASD and strategies for supporting children with this condition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
