About Us:
Join our vibrant and inclusive secondary school community in Greenwich! We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide crucial assistance to our students, fostering a positive learning environment and supporting their academic and personal development.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children is essential
- A valid DBS on the update service
- Experience with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed
Responsibilities:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with additional learning needs
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Promote independent learning and social skills development
- Collaborate with other professionals, parents, and external agencies as needed
