Tradewind are partnered up with a school in Hammersmith to support them in finding a confident and supportive 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a Year 1 student. Whether you have worked in a classroom or not, the school is wanting someone who I happy to learn while they work, bring new ideas to the table and really want to make that difference in student's lives. The school has worked with us for many years and by working with them you will be treated like any other member of staff, with kindness, and a welcoming atmosphere.

You will be expected to support the student with everyday work, including phonics, English and Maths.
You will assist them with their reading targets and staying on track and focused in the classroom. The student does have ASC, so patience is key.


Role Specifics:


*Commencing in September 2020
*Located minutes away from Barons Court
*1:1 with a Year 1 boy with ASC
*Experience with SEN students is desired
*A calm, caring, and gentle approach will be essential when working with the boy
*Commitment 5 days a week- this is a full-time role
*Able to commit for the entire Academic School Year
*Open to assisting with observations, and assessments
*Be personable, friendly, eager to learn and dive right in
*Confident in asking questions, and learning what techniques work best
*Happy to get to know the parents, and give feedback each day



The school is easily accessible by car and public transportation.
They will be looking to have interviews and trials by June or July 2020, for a September start. You must be registered with Tradewind and have your DBS on the update service.

The position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas police Clearances and professional reference checks. Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
