Tradewind Recruitment is working with an inclusive, progressive Secondary School in Hillingdon who are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their large inclusion team in the new Academic year. This is a full-time position that will be offered on a long-term basis, commencing in September and running until the end of the 2020/21 Academic year.



As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working within the mainstream classroom, supporting students with a range of learning needs and abilities in KS3 and KS4 to help them achieve their best. The needs of these students may include ASD, learning difficulties, speech and language and challenging behaviour.



You will be working alongside class teachers and other inclusion team members to create positive and encouraging learning spaces for your key students to achieve their social, emotional and academic goals. You will be implementing and working towards specific goals for your key students, achieving these goals through individual in class support, as well as running individual and small group intervention lessons.



The successful candidate for this Learning Support Assistant will:

Be a confident, engaging individual who quickly builds rapport with students and staff alike

Have prior experience supporting individuals with SEN, social or learning difficulties, or be willing to learn

Be passionate about providing equal opportunities for students to access the curriculum



Serviced by the London Underground, train lines and local buses, this school is easily accessible from North, West and Central London. Free street parking is also available for those who drive.

To join us and be successful in this Learning Support Assistant role in Hillingdon you will need to:

Have prior experience support individuals with SEN, learning or social difficulties; preferred but not essential as all training will be provided

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained

You must have the legal right to work in the UK
