Join Our Team as a Learning Support Assistant

This full-time, long-term position is starting in September for at least one academic year.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children is essential.
- A valid DBS check on the update service is a must.
- Experience in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is required.
- A compassionate and patient attitude towards students' learning and development.
Responsibilities:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive academically and socially. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Individualised Support:Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Classroom Assistance:Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive classroom environment, assisting in the delivery of lessons.
- Resource Preparation:Prepare and adapt learning materials to cater to the individual needs of students with SEND.
- Behavioural Support:Work closely with the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement strategies for managing challenging behaviours.
- Progress Monitoring:Regularly assess and record students' progress, communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
Remuneration:
The salary for this position will be dependent on experience, offering a competitive rate reflective of your skills and dedication.
