Tradewind's Primary Team are partnering up with a school in Kensington and Chelsea to help them find a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to start in October and be committed until at least January 2021.
About the role:
*1:1 Learning Support Assistant
*Potential to float within KS1 and KS2
*Applications and registrations to commence asap
*The successful applicant will have had previous experience working with pupils of low ability
*Experience working with ASC, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, and Challenging students with behaviour difficulties is also essential
*The successful applicants will be motivated, hardworking and be passionate about working with children who have SEN
*Ability and confidence to work 1:1 with students as well plan and deliver interventions
*To be successful you must understand the British Primary Curriculum and be open to learning new methods
*Monday - Friday 8:30am-4pm
*Long-Term Contract, October- January with the potential of extending
Ideally the school is looking for an outstanding candidate who has worked with children who have ASC, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, EAL, and Behaviour difficulties.
The successful candidate will be floating between classes in Ks1 and Ks2 and work with a variety of students who are needing the extra support in and outside of the classroom.
The ideal candidate will be confident in intervention planning and delivering, as well with working on a 1:1 basis with the students.
This is a great opportunity to gain more experience and learn new skills and methods throughout numerous classes in the school. The successful candidate will be trained and have support from the SLT and SENDco. Each week you will have the opportunity to sit down with the SENDco and go over strategies and ways to improve each students progress for the year.
