Full-Time Experienced Learning Support Assistant

Are you a seasoned and dedicated Learning Support Assistant with a passion for fostering inclusive education? An exciting opportunity awaits you at this school! We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our dynamic team as a full-time Learning Support Assistant within our primary school. If you have a proven track record in supporting students' learning needs, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with teachers to provide tailored support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Implement effective strategies to enhance the inclusion and engagement of students in mainstream classes.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to students requiring additional academic or behavioural support.
  • Collaborate with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to create and implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting confidence and a love for learning.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Learning Support Assistant in a primary school setting.
  • Understanding of various learning styles and strategies to support students with special educational needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with the primary school curriculum.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school community.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.

  • Empathy and understanding towards students with diverse learning needs.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in responding to the unique challenges of each student.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff, parents, and external support services.
