The Primary Support Team at Tradewind Recruitment are working with an Ofsted rated 'Good' Primary School in Redbridge who are currently looking for a passionate Learning Support Assistant to join them on a long-term basis from November 2019.

The school is located ten minutes away from Goodmayes Station and onsite they have a wide range of facilities which the students can enjoy. Classrooms within this two-form entry school are spacious and there are two large playgrounds, a field and a garden, which students can learn and play in. For staff, there is a large staffroom and a car park on site which teachers and support staff can access free of charge.

This Primary School is looking for a nurturing and committed learning support assistant who can work five days a week from 8.30am-4.00pm and is able to continue a role until possibly the end of the year. The successful candidate must have previous experience working in a nursery and experience working with students who have special educational needs.

There are two children in the nursery in a morning and two children in the afternoon. The needs of the students vary but there are non-verbal students and children with autism. Two of the students are not yet toilet trained, so the successful candidate must be comfortable changing nappies and providing personal care to the children. There will be other staff supporting working with the four children, but this is a 1:1 role.

The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant who has:
*Experience in EYFS supporting children
*Experience working with autism and non-verbal students
*Experience working with cerebral palsy and challenging behaviour is highly desirable
*Legal right to work in the UK
*Enhanced DBS Check and an Overseas Police Check (if necessary)
