Tradewind recruitment are working in alliance with a SEN school in St Helens who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to start immediately on a long term basis with the potential for the role to turn permanent.

The school provides an education for children who have complex needs such as ASD and SLD between 3-16 years of ages. Our ofsted rated "Good" client prides themselves on preparing their pupils for their future and providing a safe and stimulating learning environment where students personal development has been praised.

We are looking for:
* Previous experience working with SEN children
* Calm, positive personality
* Level headed
* Patience and resilience
* Excellent listening skills
* Maths and English GCSE as a minimum, TA qualification or hold a degree


As a Learning Support Assistant, you would be required to work either on a one to one basis with a designated pupil or within a small group. You would be responsible for general teaching assistant duties including academic support in core subjects such as Literacy and Numeracy. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking to develop skills and build experience in the education sector, potentially completing a teaching qualification in the future.
