Job Title: Experienced One-to-One Teaching Assistant

Location: St. Helens, Mainstream Primary School

Overview: Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a child with challenging behaviour in a mainstream primary school in St. Helens. This is a full-time, long-term role requiring commitment and dedication to the child's development and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one support to a child with challenging behaviour in a mainstream primary school setting.
• Assist the child with academic tasks and activities as directed by the class teacher.
• Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions to support the child's learning and social development.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for the child to thrive.

Requirements:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream primary school or a similar educational setting.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred, but candidates with relevant experience from a Care/Special Needs background will also be considered.
• Ability to commit to a full-time role with hours from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
• Patience, empathy, and resilience to work with children with challenging behaviour.
