Tradewind Recruitment is looking for nurturing Learning Support Assistants to work alongside a specialist setting in Sutton. This is a longterm, full time role with the view of completing the academic year with them.

They are a special setting for pupils aged 7-18 with a wide range of ability levels and additional learning needs, including MLD, Autism, Complex Needs.

This setting also have an 'ABC of Success' approach: Attend school every day; Behave appropriately towards each other and Challenge themselves in everything they do! Close partnership exists between staff, students and parents to ensure all their students make the maximum possible progress from their individual starting points - this means that together there is no limit to what their students can achieve.

The role will involve the direct support and responsibility for key children, delivering a creative programme devised by the teaching team. Each class has excellent support in the form of Teachers and Mentors.

The right person will;
*Have worked in a specialist setting before
*Have a solid understanding of how to interact, engage and support complex needs
*Want to aspire to be a permanent fixture in a well-oiled team of education professionals

The role will involve;
*121 and/or small group work with learners
*Regular feedback and interaction with parents and carers
*Constant encouragement and willingness to go the extra mile

The setting benefits from strong leadership and a behavioural policy that has been well implemented and adhered to. Ofsted praised the Headteacher for their 'determination, commitment and vision' which in turn has created a very calm environment for students to make progress in. They are situated in the borough of Sutton and not easily accessible via public transport so whilst all applicants are welcome drivers may be preferable due to unreliable transport links.
