Are you a Learning Support Assistant looking for a new role in Wandsworth?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a SEN School based in East Ham, Newham starting immediately. This is a full time, long-term role for the full academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity to go permanent. The position will be on a daily rate between £80 to £90 dependant on experience.

The School:

The SEN school is 'Good' Ofsted rated providing education for students between 8 to 16 years old with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). However, some students may possess additional learning difficulties. The school provide a curriculum and environment which is tailored to each individual student to meet their needs to their fullest potential. The school consists of up to 50 students with all holding an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Learning is provided from experienced Teachers and specialist Therapists. The school is easily accessible by public transport and has parking on site.

The Position:

You will be working as a Learning Support Assistant within a mixed KS4 class supporting students primarily with SLCN and Complex Needs. You will need to support student learning on a 1:1 basis and in small groups where apparent. You will gain the opportunity to work in a warm, supportive and relaxed environment alongside experienced members of staff. Training and CPD's are held regularly at the school for yourself to attend and raise your professional development.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

• Hold previous experience working within SEN
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
• Legal right to work in the UK
