Tradewind is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dynamic team for a temporary position covering maternity leave until Easter, with the possibility of extension until the end of the year.

Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Shepton Mallet, Established Secondary School

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with an EHCP for cognition and learning/social, emotional, and wellbeing needs (50% of timetable).
Assist the student in organising their learning materials and developing effective learning strategies.
Offer support through interventions, groups, and classes to address the diverse needs of students.
Collaborate with teaching staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role, showcasing a strong understanding of special educational needs.
Ability to provide tailored support to meet individual student needs.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Working Hours:

Full-time position: 5 days per week, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Part-time option available (3 days per week) for experienced candidates. Pay negotiable depending on experience.
