Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Do you have experience working with children in primary schools and hold a NVQ level 3 teaching assistant qualification?

Tradewind is currently working with a mainstream primary school in Bedford who are looking for new members of staff to join their team when they return.

We are looking for outstanding experienced teaching assistants who have a level 3 qualification and who are ideally looking to get back into the classroom as soon as schools return.

  • Highly competitive rates of pay (£70-80 per day)
  • Full-time/Long-term positions available
  • Start Date (March 2021)
  • Bedford based or looking to relocate to the area

As schools prepare for children returning to the classroom, the need for highly experienced members of staff is becoming greater and children will require additional support to help raise standards this academic year.

Criteria - what we are looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 (Essential)
  • Experience working in a primary school (min 6 months)
  • 5 GCSE's including Maths and English.
  • Supported pupils learning previously.
  • Able to work on your own initiative.
  • SEN knowledge and experience (essential).
  • Supported small groups and 1:1 with pupils.
  • Drive (desirable).
  • Available full-time and can commit on a long-term basis.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to take direction from senior members of staff.

If successful, you will work with small groups and pupils on a 1:1 basis on a full-time basis. You will also support pupils access the curriculum and present clear learning objectives. You will need to be confident and happy to work on your own initiative whilst also feeding back pupils progress to the class teacher.
