We are seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to start ASAP on a long-term basis for the academic year and beyond. There is potential for this to turn into a permanent position. The salary will range from £12,081 - £15,900.
The school is a large, thriving primary school with a 'Good' Ofsted report. It is a friendly school based in a suburban area of North Sheffield. The school is comprised of 18 classes split into 3 phases. The school is based in a historic building on a large site. They benefit from wide facilities including a secret garden, a climbing wall, drama studio, art room, 2 halls for PE and a DT room. They provide a full, balanced and varied curriculum that encourages every child to participate and succeed. They are fortunate to have a dynamic, dedicated and passionate team of teachers and support staff with an inspirational Head. The school is easily accessible with several bus links and free parking onsite.
They are looking for a fantastic Teaching Assistant who can provide support for the Year 5 and Year 6 classes. The Teaching Assistant will be required to work class Teaching Assistant in Year 6, in addition to providing 1:1 and small group support. They will have an important role in helping pupils prepare for their Year 6 SATS.
Upon visiting the school, Tradewind were impressed with the warm welcome by all members of staff at the school. The excellent behaviours of the pupils really stand out. It was great to see the fantastic school grounds with extensive fields surrounding the school building.
Essential requirements:
Proven Teaching Assistant experience in a primary school setting, Teaching Assistant qualification desirable, prior experience with a range of SEN, legal right to work in the UK
