Tradewind Recruitment, a leading education recruitment agency, is currently seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a rewarding full-time position in St. Helens mainstream primary school. This is an exciting opportunity to support in a Key Stage 2 class, with the added responsibility of providing occasional class cover.

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and providing support to students. Your passion for education and dedication to making a positive impact on young learners will be invaluable in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborating with the class teacher to plan and deliver educational activities
Providing one-on-one and small group support to students
Assisting with classroom management and behaviour management strategies
Preparing teaching resources and materials
Assisting in the assessment and tracking of student progress
Occasionally covering the class in the absence of the teacher

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within Key Stage 2
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships
Understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
