Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for enthusiastic Maths, English, Science and performing Arts graduates and students, to work as Cover Supervisors in our Secondary schools in Bristol. The roles available will be both part and full-time on a supply basis in schools and it involve working with children aged 11-16 years old.

The schools we work with cater for Secondary age students and they urgently require temporary staff with a degree in any subject to work as a Cover Supervisor within the classroom. This will involve covering lessons in the absence of the teacher. The work will be provided and you will be responsible for delivering the work that the students need to complete, ensure they complete it and keep the classroom under control and manage behaviour of the students. To be considered for these temporary roles the ability to engage and build rapport using your general knowledge and academic background is essential. If you study or have finished your studies and are not sure what to do next, perhaps teaching may be an option? Working on a supply basis as a cover supervisor will give you a good taster of what it is like to work in schools.

In these Learning support roles, your primary areas of responsibility will be to:
Support and enable learning with the instructions that will have been by the teacher,
Encourage the development of positive attitudes to learning through well-planned support, and other activities. Ensure that you manage behaviour and make sure that the students complete their work on time.

It is useful to have a creative and innovative approach, and be able to understand and support students who may be disengaged and help to re-engage disaffected learners in education and overcome barriers to learning.

*Have experience working with children (preferable)

*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks

*Have the legal right to work in the UK
