Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Maths teacher to join a vibrant secondary academy, starting ASAP. This role is to cover a maternity leave for the duration of the academic year. The role is suitable for an NQT, experienced teacher or instructor of Maths. The school is located in Handsworth, Birmingham with good public transport links and ample parking available.

The role itself will involve the delivery of Maths lessons, to students in KS3 and KS4, so you will need to be confident teaching up to GCSE level. As part of the role, you will be expected to plan lessons and mark completed work. Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge and will ensure that the lessons they deliver are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making progress.

As a Maths Teacher, you will have the support of a cohesive and committed team of teachers who work collaboratively to maintain high standards and expectations, plus:

*the successful Maths Teacher will be provided with a comprehensive induction package and a wide range of CPD opportunities for all staff

*Hold QTS Status or QTLS
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
