We are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic teacher of Maths to work in a lovely secondary school with outstanding facilities on the island of Alderney in the Channel Islands. This position is for one term. You will be required to teach up to GCSE only. There is potential for it to continue, but it is left open to suit both parties.

The school is an all-through school, 4-16 in Alderney, located in Newtown, overlooking Braye Beach. With a range of good quality classrooms and outside learning facilities, they are proud of their school and the curriculum they offer.

The successful candidate will be/have:
*Able to commit to one term on the island of Guernsey, and have no commitments in the UK that may prevent them from staying on the island during that time.
*A Qualified Maths teacher who can teach Maths across KS3 and KS4
*The ability to work alone, and plan, prepare and deliver exciting and innovating lessons.
*The ability to differentiate as there is a vast range of abilities within the school.
*Strong classroom management, and able to manage any challenging behaviour in a calm and affective manner.
*Comfortable with their own company, or enjoy making friends with the locals and other supply teachers on the island!
*Happy to work on a small island that has around only approximately 2,000 people, a limited amount of shops and restaurants, and with inflated prices (the cost of living is higher than the UK).
