Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a Maths Teacher for a High Achieving mixed comprehensive secondary school in Barking and Dagenham, to start at Easter 2019.

This would be taking over from a member of staff who has relocated out of the UK. There is an option to do no planning or marking outside of school hours.
This school was rated Outstanding in their last Ofsted inspection maintaining a high level of teaching and learning within in the school, considering it is a larger than average school. This schools is one of the best secondary schools Tradewind Recruitment work with.

This school is based in a lovely part of Barking and Dagenham, East London and is easily accessible on the district line, about 10 minutes from Dagenham Heathway station. The school also has a large car park that has capacity to fit all staff.

This is a very multi-cultural school and students make outstanding progress irrespective of their starting points in life or background. Pupils are constantly positive about the schools focus on their education, safety and well-being. Although many students join the school with below average skills in reading, writing and mathematics, they make rapid progress and achieve outstandingly high GCSE results compared to the national average. This is testament to the high expectations and hard work from the Head Teacher, trailing down the teaching staff and support staff within the school to work cohesively day in and day out.

The quality of teaching is outstanding, setting high expectations in which the students live up to and remaining fully engaged and enthusiastic to learn and achieve. Relationships between staff and students are positive and respectful, which aids to the achievement within the school.

Senior leaders and Heads of departments are highly ambitious for students and create a driven yet relaxed atmosphere to encourage students to be their best.

Responsibilities for this Maths Teacher role would include;
*Covering KS3, KS4 and KS5 classes within the Maths department
*Working as a team and share high level practises with colleagues to remain ahead of the game one of the leading departments within the school
*Genuinely caring about the education of your students, going above and beyond to see them succeed and achieve
*Setting clear expectations and follow up issues firmly and fairly, this will gain the respect of the students and aid you when teaching the classes
*Being an exceptional teacher who can add great value within the department and school
Requirements for you as a Maths Teacher include;
*Holding a QTS holder (or equivalent teaching qualification)
*Having an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance and previous professional references that are at an average of Good or above
*Having a legal right to work in the UK
