Tradewind Recruitment is excited to partner with an innovative alternative provision school in Chorley, specialising in supporting pupils aged 8-18 with ADHD, ASD, and SEMH needs. The school is uniquely designed to offer an exceptional educational experience to these young learners. Situated on-site is a children's home, providing a nurturing environment for the students. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join this supportive educational community.

Position Details:

Job Title: Maths Teacher

Contract: Permanent

Salary: MPS/UPS (£28,000 - £43,685)

Key Responsibilities:

As a Maths Teacher in this alternative provision school, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality mathematics lessons tailored to the specific needs of pupils with ADHD, ASD, and SEMH needs.
  • Differentiating instruction to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
  • Establishing a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students can thrive academically and emotionally.
  • Collaborating with other members of the teaching team and support staff to provide holistic support for each student.
  • Implementing creative teaching strategies to engage and motivate students in their learning journey.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong background and expertise in teaching mathematics.
  • Experience working with pupils who have ADHD, ASD, and SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young learners.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
