Starting in September 2020 on a fixed term contract for the full academic year, the successful Maths teacher will be teaching Maths across key stages 3 and 4. Joining a department that's popular with students and actively engages pupils outside of the classroom and with extra-curricular clubs, activities and school trips.
The school offers a well-rounded department and utilises links with the Academy trust of 3 other local secondary schools. Each classroom is well equipped with new interactive white boards and staff laptop's and staff are integrated into the staff team from day one. Key stage 3 covers Algebra, Ratio, Geometry, Measures and Statistics under the New Edexcel Curriculum. At key stage 4 all pupils sit Maths GCSE's offered over two tiers higher and foundation. A Level is also offered at this supportive school for the right teacher (Edexcel).
Rated "Good" in their last Ofsted inspection (2016) this is a community sized school of 600 pupils from the local area. A brand new, multi-million-pound building is in the pipeline as part of the Governments School Building Programme. Results at KS4 are good and in line with the countries average and a key focus for the school moving forward to an "Outstanding".

Essential requirements:
Experience of teaching Maths to Key stage 3 and 4 is desirable and the school also welcome applications from NQT's or teachers returning to the profession. The school has a range of support options for all staff for all levels of experience and utilise links with their local academy trust enabling a rounded and proactive approach to career progression.
